::This airport is totally adequate, but it may help you to plan ahead, especially if you are with a big group, kids, or have any special needs, or if you will be waiting there for a long time. The airport is quite small (as you would expect for a small island), and all of the waiting areas are in one big room. In the middle of the day, when all of the flights are coming and going, there isn't enough seating for everyone. Also, the room is very loud. There is pretty much just one little cafe to get food from, so the line was very long. They did move the line along in the cafe quite fast, and there was hot food available. There were vending machines, but since they all needed exact change (I think it was in US dollars, actually), we couldn't use them. It was clean.

::Flew in and out of here in early July and may have been under renovation, but it seemed like the waiting area for all gates are in one room, so can be quite packed when it's busy. Not everyone was able to sit while I was waiting for my outgoing flight. It seemed pretty clean, but three is only one vendor for food and drink and is the only after security for last minute souvenirs and they only carry Tortuga rum cakes and hard liquor. They to serve beer. Did not see any stores upon check in so I would advise getting here as late as you can for check in, security, and boarding. Nearby George Town Yacht Club is a great place to hang out before your departure and there is a free shuttle from that airport that only takes a few minutes.

::We departed on 6/30 and the renovations expedited the entire process! We breezed through with no lines for check-in or security, enjoyed snacks and beverages (inside) and plenty of seating! The A/C is cold so bring a sweater. The prior reviews are dated now tthst the expansion is almost complete. Also, arrival, customs and bags were super quick. Customs will have a line, but it flies. Plenty of taxis waiting outside. Enjoy your trip!

::From the moment of landing you can feel the welcome to the caribbean. Love this airport, small, not too crowded, customs very friendly.

::Friendly staff, small airport, quick customs wait, but currently under construction so NO DUTY FREE :( Almost gave 3 stars for not having duty-free, but they still have a few things for sale and a small restaurant that serves hot and cold food options. Luckily they have good signage about this when you land so that you know you need to buy your gifts on the island before you leave.
