  Villa Mora has lovely amenities but there is no swimming or snorkelling from the beach. As of Oct 2016, the sea grass starts at the shore and grows out through the top of the water. You cannot swim over it, because it scrapes your face, is covered if fuzzy algae and it smells of sulphur (rotten eggs). Putting on wetsuit boots, you can walk over the top of it for 15 minutes and still not reach the end. We later kayaked out, but the snorkelling is poor and there is not much to see. For the effort, you’d be much better going elsewhere, e.g. Smiths Cove, Sports Beach. Further, the beach in front of the house is covered in mounds of dead sea grass that washes up each morning, which is not pictured on the site. They clean the beach before you arrive, but by Day 3 it was covered again. We asked to move, as we have a baby and toddler, and needed stay close to the house with a beach we could play on/swim from (the outings to nearby beaches were a big hassle). Jim Leavitt was not only unhelpful but hostile, said that he was a lawyer, that what we said about the sea grass was simply untrue and that if we moved we would not be refunded. Family flew in from the US and UK, and we had been looking forward to this for 6 months, so we were very disappointed with our experience. The house is also for sale, so you will find many things not working properly, the hot tub either runs too hot (107 degrees) or too cold. Pam and Paula the property managers were helpful and responsive. Eddie runs a great grocery delivery service. If you have a big party, the locals recommended other houses with other agencies, including Coral Reef house at Cayman Villas. Do not go to Rum Point/Cayman Kai, as it is 1-hr drive from everything else, and the water is rough with strong currents for much of the year. We dove out of the West Bay with Living the Dream, and the sites were sensational.
