Had a good take away lunch - the beet burger was a little sloppy and made it harder to eat but the chickpea was good texture and consistency. Soup was good, but felt we could have been given a plastic spoon - maybe we should have asked but didn’t think at the time. Top tip: phone your order ahead, menu on website.
Received the most deplorable service from one of the owners of the restaurant. Walked in looking to grab a quick pre-made bite and was not even acknowledged by the owner who was apparently overwhelmed by the number of people in the restaurant. Being someone who works in the service industry, I know all too well how hectic things can get. But in spite of this, one must at least greet the customer and ask for their patience. I didn't get as much as a "hello" and to me, this is unacceptable. After waiting 5 minutes and almost walking out he muttered "one second" and continued to try to prepare checks. By the time he got to me and realized how simple my order was he then got things together, charged me, and walked off without an ounce of pleasantry. I have received much better service from their staff in the past and recommend that the owners stay out of the operations if they do not possess the simple etiquette required to service ALL customer equally.
Found out about Bread & Chocolate the day before our last day in Grand Cayman, thank goodness we weren’t scheduled to depart unril the afternoon so we had breakfast there on our last day. I had the signature Bread & Chocolate french toast and my husband had the buckwheat pancakes and we both found them yummy/excellent. Our server, Heidi was very charming and helpful. You don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy the food. Wish we had found this place earlier.
